My -glorious- STUPID AREGARLEBLEH life

I made this blog as a way to talk to people because I always feel like no one wants to listen to me. Talking about my experiences is one of the great things I like to talk about, so I hope at least one person finds it worthy of their time.

On Vacation Once Again

I went away again! Did you miss me? Of course not, silly goose. I wasn't gone that long.

This one wasn't much of a "vacation," though. We just had to go away to get my brother from military training camp (he wants to me in the Navy as a guy who defuses bombs using robots. I know, awesome). We got to the hotel and visited a candy store (my mom loves buying hoards of candy, but don''t get me wrong, she's not fat at all whatsoever.), and we got back with a ton of chocolate. We ate maybe 30% of it. :P

But the wifi there was painfully slow. So we decided to go to the pool. And let me tell you this now: I get really, really awkward in a pool with other people, unless it's just a little kid there or something. When we got to the pool, it was empty (yay!) but after about two minutes, a bunch of people came in. It totally sucked. After a while I "gave up" and left.

More painfully slow internet. I managed to download an app (Plague Inc. It's really fun!)on my tablet which kept me entertained.

We left the next day for the graduation ceremony (my brother and his group were moving up a rank. Yay!) and my brother was really happy to get out of there. By the way he was wearing - tee hee - a sailor suit. Yeah, it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but we got pancakes afterwards and got to listen to my brother and his friend tell stories.

...We were PLANNING on leaving for home afterwards, when we were invited to my brother's friend's beach house that their family rented. And let me tell you another thing: whenever I go to someone's house,  always feel like I'm imposing... it's really awkward for me. But I put on my big girl pants and complied, and I suppose it was fun, I guess. At one point we went down to the beach, stood in a line, and watched the sun set for ten minutes. We were trying to see the legendary "green flash" but there were clouds on the horizon that blocked the sun and prevented it from shining on the water. We went back and watched Tarzan afterwards. Just because.

And now I'm home.

P.S. I'll be leaving again next weekend for an event my parents' friends' are having... and we don't even know what they're celebrating. Oh well, at least we get to stay in a hotel again!

Biospheres, Action, and Sad Quotes

I decided to make some biospheres recently. If you don't know what those are, Google how to make them, you'll get the idea. While I was making them, I went to the lake to get some water to add to the sphere. I took a big 32 oz jar and when I got there, I felt like an evil genius in the process of their master plan. Mwahahaha. When I was filling up the jar, everyone was staring at me. I guess mere mortals wouldn't understand my complex plan for world domination. I made one for my friend too... My shrimp and my snail both died, and my friend's shrimp died... Oops.

I REGRET NOTHING!!!

Today my friend came over. We actually got really bored. So, we decided to invent something. Behold, the newest to-be trend. Tell everyone about it. I beg you. Please make this a thing.

Anyways, the thing that we invented is called prank packaging. It's where you make a package that looks like a just because gift, write a nice note, and fill it with something extremely random. We used a few rocks and a piece of a cement block that we wrote "Super Larry" on in Sharpie. You tie it up with some ribbon. Then you leave it on your friend's door step. Surprise!

Yeah, I know, it's lame. But we were really bored and nobody would answer their phones for prank calls.

We got bored again after delivering the package. So we decided to create a stupid, random action movie. I don't want to describe it, because you might stumble upon it and my true identity will be revealed. And that would suck. but it was really funny, and we  laughed every time we watched it.

On to the next subject.

I go on some social networking sites, and I keep seeing these pages called "Teenager Quotes" or "Teenager Whatever" and they're always filled with all these quotes and phrases with pretty fonts and pictures. But what I don't understand is why they're always so sad. For instance, they say stuff like this: "Shout out to all the people who never knew their lives would be so messed up" or "People don't understand what kind of crap we go through" or "Just because I'm smiling, doesn't mean I'm okay". It makes it sound like every teenager is depressed, or they are hated by everyone. Yeah, life has its ups and downs. You're going to feel really crappy some days. But guess what, princess? That only happens sometimes. The rest of the time, everything's normal. You're just choosing to take the normal negative stuff that happens sometimes, and blowing it way out of proportion. It's like crying that it's flooded because your lawn is squishy after a rainstorm.

And besides, like my grandma said: "It's your choice to be happy or sad." I used to not believe this, I mean you can't help your emotions, right? But later I learned that it's much better to just to forget about things. It's in the past now. You can't change what happened, it's not going to ruin your life, so why dwell on it? I became a much happier person after that.

A Beautiful Beach Vacation!

When most people think of summer vacation, they think of free spirits packing up their cars, yelling "Smell 'ya later!" and heading for the sunny beaches.

Well, I got in the spirit and did the same thing. The only thing is, the beaches here are cloudy and cold, but I threw on a sweatshirt and jeans and had a ton of fun. I don't really want to tell you all the details since it will most definitely reveal where I live, so I'll just tell you about when we went to one of the beaches.

We were all jacked up about taking pictures, since my mother is a professional and I am aspiring to be one. She let me use one of her fancy shmancy cameras, and even if I still really suck, I made up for it with my underwater pictures.

We went to that specific beach for the tide pools there, which were filled with green sea anemones and orange and purple starfish. And tiny crabs and.... it wasn't kelp... and I'm pretty sure it wasn't seaweed...

Anyhow, I had brought my waterproof camera, so I would stick it into the water and cross my finders. Here are my favorite shots:

Cool, right? I cheated a little, because I put the "vivid" setting on my camera which made the colors brighter, but that's okay, right?

By the way, I had a little mishap while I was there that made me feel really bad. Along the sides of most of the tide pools were some little anemones that were all closed up and waiting for high tide. I tried to get close to a tide pool to take a picture when I accidentally slipped an a patch of the little guys! Good thing the water was shallow so I didn't get too wet, but I just hope I didn't hurt the poor things!

Oh! And for people like me out there, I saw something really cool, and I took some pictures... I found the mystery machine!

One of the days close to the end of the trip, we visited a small town and got hungry so we decided to eat at a Chinese restaurant. It was really good and it was pretty inside, too. I found a red vegetable in my chicken and I thought it was a slice of bell pepper, and I like bell peppers, so I popped it into my mouth. It was kinda leathery, unlike the soft, squishy texture of bell peppers, so I knew that I was eating a whole pepper of a different kind. Then it started to burn. I chewed it up and swallowed, and let me tell you, it really, really burned. A lot. I was shaking. I gulped down my whole glass of water and sucked on the ice cubes, but it still burned. My mother laughed and told the waitress what happened, and she laughed too. And no, I was not offended, because it actually was pretty funny. After we paid the bill and left, my mouth still burned, so my mother bought me some Dibs from the gas station. :D

Okay, welp, that's about all of the exciting stuff you're going to get from me. The rest, you wouldn't really care about. But it was really fun.
